UK Airspace Update Project
=================
CIX VFR Club member Kevin Firth has created some software to update the UK Airspace Boundaries using the data held in the UK Integrated Aeronautical Information Publication.
http://www.nats-uk.ead-it.com/public/index.php%3Foption=com_content&task=blogcategory&id=165&Itemid=3.html

These files will be periodically updated (though not necessarily on the same day!)

To install the Airspace boundary data as an update:
---------------------------------------------------
a) Copy the UK Airspace Boundaries folder as is, straight into your existing UK Airspace Boundaries folder without alteration, and select replace when prompted.

To install the Airspace boundary data for the first time:
---------------------------------------------------------
a) Find the file BNXWorld0.bgl in your <[simulator directory]\scenery\world\scenery> and rename it to "BNXWorld0.bgl.orig" or something similarly recognisable.
b) find the file BNXWorld1.bgl in your <[simulator directory]\scenery\world\scenery> and rename it to "BNXWorld1.bgl.orig" or something similarly recognisable.
c) Unzip the the UK_Airspace Boundaries.zip file in a temporary folder. The files in the zip are:
. UK Airspace Boundaries (folder) - contains a folder called Scenery.
. BNXWorld0.bgl
. BNXWorld1.bgl
. UK Airspace Boundaries Readme (Updated <date of issue>).txt
d) Copy the UK Airspace Boundaries folder as is, straight into your FSX\Addon Scenery Folder (or equivalent) without alteration.
e) Place the files BNXWorld0.bgl and BNXWorld1.bgl in the download in FSX\scenery\world\scenery to replace the original. (BNXWorld0.bgl contains the default airspace data which has been removed from the newer version, BNXWorld1.bgl contains the default 'center' airspace data which has been replaced)
f) Add the UK Airspace Boundaries scenery to your Scenery Library using the FSX scenery adding tool, or the freeware Scenery Config Editor in the same way that you add any addon scenery.

(The download now includes the Altimeter Setting Region boundaries which users may feel don't add anything useful since Regional Altimeter Settings are not often used on VATSIM.)
